The Open Scholar Ecosystem (OSE): A Transparent Framework for Layered, Practice-Led Scholarship
The Open Scholar Ecosystem (OSE) is a framework for transparent, practice-led scholarship shaped by the realities of generative technology and digitally mediated knowledge. It offers a structured yet flexible way of treating scholarship as an open and visible process rather than a sealed endpoint. By allowing ideas to emerge in fragments, develop through reflective writing, and stabilise in formal academic outputs, the OSE turns the entire research journey into something public, accountable and pedagogically valuable. This document provides the first full articulation of the model and establishes its conceptual architecture for scholars, educators, and practitioners who may wish to adopt or adapt it in the future.
