Spherical Aerospace Craft — Unified Magnetoplasma Architecture Active shield, multimodal harvesting, and directional thrust — science, engineering, and empirical validation
This technical document presents the conceptual and functional architecture of the SYNTRÍA-7 SPACECRAFT, a new-generation spherical aerospace vehicle (Ø 6-7 meters) designed for interplanetary missions and surface operations with capacity for seven crew members. The core of the innovation lies in the Unified Magnetoplasma Architecture, an integrated system that simultaneously manages three critical domains: Active Shield: A dynamic magnetic plasma mantle that provides advanced thermal and radiological protection, reducing dependence on passive thermal protection systems (TPS) and mitigating heat peaks by up to 50% during aerobraking and atmospheric reentry. Multimodal Harvesting (Power): It utilizes TPV, TEG, a magnetohydrodynamic dynamo (MHD-gen), and an electrodynamic tether to generate continuous power (100-300 kWe) from waste heat and orbital motion, promoting the system's energy closure. Directional Thrust (Mobility): It combines magnetic propulsion (magneto-sail, micro-MHD) and chemical retro-propulsion to execute guided, parachute-free Entry, Descent, and Landing (EDL) maneuvers on celestial bodies with or without an atmosphere (Earth, Mars, Moon). SYNTRÍA-7 is conceived under the philosophy of "Three functions, a single system," prioritizing thermal and energy closure to ensure high operational availability (>97%) and setting a new milestone in multi-mission autonomy and deep space vehicle design.
