Field-Coherent Autonomics: A Visual-Origin Framework for Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Design

This paper presents a unified, design-based interpretation of the autonomic nervous system (ANS) through the Visual-Origin Theory of Neural Decussation (VOD) and the NeuroY Architecture frameworks. It proposes that sympathetic and parasympathetic pathways are not randomly arranged but are geometrically optimized for field-coherent reflexes that link perception, emotion, and physiological control. By tracing autonomic routing through cranial, spinal, and visceral structures, the study reveals how ipsilateral, contralateral, and bilateral patterns serve distinct timing and survival functions. The recurrent laryngeal nerve, ocular sympathetic chain, vagus system, and sexual and digestive reflex loops are reinterpreted as elements of a single geometric logic—designed for protection, synchronization, and minimal delay. Rather than a diffuse collection of reflexes, the ANS is shown to operate as a field-aligned control network, integrating sensory awareness and internal regulation into one coherent architecture. The work bridges neuroanatomy, geometry, and systems design, providing a fresh theoretical foundation for understanding autonomic laterality, reflex coordination, and brainstem organization.Dr. Ghassan Ahmed Mubasher MohamedsalihNeuro-Ophthalmologist, Hamad Medical CorporationEmail: [email protected]: https://orcid.org/0009-0000-7926-3150
