🇬🇧 Description / Abstract : The summatial is a novel mathematical concept that extends the classical notion of discrete sum to a broader analytical framework, allowing sums to be indexed over real or complex domains. It provides a powerful axiomatic foundation that leads to unprecedented generalizations, such as the generalized Euler–Maclaurin formula with shift, including precise discrete corrections expressed via Bernoulli polynomials. This work shows that the summatial is the fundamental structure behind the hypersummatial, an even richer extension developed and published in the article: 🔗 DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.17237255 The summatial establishes deep connections with number theory, analysis, special functions (digamma, polygamma, Riemann zeta), and the inverse Laplace transform. It opens the way to powerful tools for handling infinite sums, inverse powers, and non-integer indices, offering a unified vision of analytic continuations and summation formulas.
