Probabilistic Emergence in a Deterministic Wave System
A standing wave obeying the Schrödinger equation in an infinite potential well constitutes a perfectly linear and deterministic system. Yet, when only a discrete aspect of it is observed — here, the crossing of an amplitude threshold — the resulting series of values displays an aperiodic behavior with no apparent temporal correlation. The following numerical experiment illustrates how a fully predictable dynamic can generate statistical outcomes when probed only partially.
