Maternal stress in the fetal anomaly screening process: A prospective cohort study
What is current knowledge? The escalation of prenatal stress is attributed to factors such as fetal health and pregnancy-related changes and outcomes. Fetal anomaly screening tests are commonly employed to reduce the likelihood of delivering a baby with abnormalities. What is new here? The findings of this study indicate that the normal results of fetal anomaly screening tests decrease pregnant women's levels of stress. University education, having at least one living child, and a normal ultrasound finding are three elements connected with decreased maternal stress.
