Shukan Igaku (Subjective Medicine) – Supplement 1: The Divine Layer

Shukan Igaku (Subjective Medicine) Supplement 1 develops the theoretical concept of the “Divine layer” within a four-layer model of human existence (Body, Mind, Soul, Divine). This supplement proposes the Divine postulate (an assumption of original, co-creative goodness), the Divine axis (a preferred direction of living that tends to preserve the 0-band of self and others), and a cyclical model of Love → Order → Harmony → 0-band → Anshin. Here, Anshin (安心) is defined as an existential “being-okay-ness” that arises when a person returns to their own 0-band across Body, Mind, and Soul. These constructs are presented explicitly as working hypotheses, derived from clinical observation and systematic self-reflection in Shukan Igaku. The text clarifies how misalignment along the Divine axis is reflected as distress or illness, how realignment may unfold in small steps, and why the Divine layer must be handled with great care to avoid dogmatism or coercion. This supplement is intended as a conceptual scaffold for future work in subjective ethics, clinical practice, and interdisciplinary dialogue, rather than as a fixed doctrine.
