The Factorization Lemma and Its Theoretical Framework
The Factorization Lemma establishes that every integer has a finite number of real factors but infinitely many imaginary (complex) factors. This result expands the classical understanding of factorization beyond the real number line, suggesting that each integer contains an infinite multiplicative structure within the complex domain. By viewing numbers as part of a continuous real–complex system, the lemma introduces a new perspective on numerical symmetry and leads naturally to the concept of the Universal Number—a unified framework that connects real and complex quantities under one consistent interpretation.
