MEDSI 2025: Celebrating 25 years of innovation in synchrotron engineering

The 13th International Conference on Mechanical Engineering Design of Synchrotron Radiation Equipment and Instrumentation (MEDSI 2025) marks the 25th anniversary since the first MEDSI workshop in 2000. This biennial meeting, hosted by MAX IV Laboratory in Lund, Sweden, from September 15–19, 2025, is expected to welcome over 300 delegates and more than 30 industrial exhibitors. MEDSI is the leading forum for advancing engineering in synchrotron and free-electron laser (XFEL) facilities, featuring sessions on precision mechanics, photon delivery, simulation, and core technology developments. MEDSI 2025 will also introduce a special session on neutron source instrumentation, emphasizing collaboration with the European Spallation Source (ESS). The event includes invited and contributed talks, poster sessions, and an industrial exhibition, with all contributions published in the JACoW Proceedings.
