SECUREMED-D6.1.2-User manual Rucio-Keycloak-FTS, practical example
This User Manual explains how to operate a SecureMed proof-of-concept environment where Rucio, Keycloak, and FTS are integrated to provide authenticated access and policy-driven data movement. It translates the installation and configuration work into day-to-day procedures for researchers, data managers, and administrators. The document focuses on how an end user authenticates through OpenID Connect (OIDC), obtains and manages tokens, interacts with Rucio to register and organize data identifiers (DIDs), defines replication rules across RSEs, and monitors file transfers executed via FTS. Particular attention is paid to the complete “happy path” workflows and to realistic recovery actions when things do not go as planned (expired tokens, stuck rules, transfer retries, and certificate or trust-chain issues).
