SURVEYING MODERN SMART SPACE TECHNOLOGIES FOR CAMPUS CONTEXT AWARENESS

Smart devices are central to the development of smart spaces, environments where sensing and control are enabled through sensors and actuators. To enhance smart space infrastructure in university campuses, context-aware computing has been increasingly proposed and studied. This survey presents recent literature on context-aware smart spaces, highlighting key algorithms and techniques employed in the field and their adaptation to campus environments. The findings indicate that current approaches can be further improved by integrating hybrid or group processing methods to enhance system functionality and responsiveness. This study provides researchers and practitioners with insights into the state-of-the-art in context-aware computing, offering guidance for designing more efficient and adaptive smart space systems.
