Use of Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision Making Methods in Industrial Investment Decisions: Application of Machine Selection in a Steel Wire Manufacturing Enterprise
With today's increasing population, consumption has increased significantly in the world. As a result of increasing consumption, new businesses established to meet the needs are trying to create a share for themselves in the existing industrial market. In order to gain a place with the increasing momentum in the wide range of market share, businesses need to proceed with the right decisions. Right investment decisions come at the top of these decisions. Industrial investment decisions are usually complex processes that include many variables. In this study; Fuzzy AHP and Fuzzy TOPSIS methods, which are fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making techniques, are used for this process, which has many different decision variables such as cost, environmental impact, production capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and investment decisions are evaluated. With these evaluations, investors' subjective approaches are transformed into a more systematic and concrete structure. Thanks to fuzzy logic techniques, investors' abstract evaluations such as "economic", "profitable" or "strategic" are transformed into concrete data and a more systematic modelling is provided. At the same time, it is aimed to reduce the uncertainty and complexity encountered in investment decisions. As a result of the data analysis, total scores are calculated for investment decisions, a ranking is made and the most appropriate investment decision is determined. This project, which was carried out by examining the use of these methods in detail and modelling the investment decision processes, enables investors to make more efficient and effective decisions in industrial investment processes.
