A dihydroxyterephthalic acid-based fluorescent hydrogen-bonded organic framework as a multifunctional platform for acid vapor detection, pH sensing and proton conductivity

A novel ionic hydrogen-bonded framework, viz. DHT-MEL, has been developed by incorporating fluorescent and acid-responsive building blocks. The material shows promising acid-sensing behaviour as well as proton conduction properties.
