Chiral copper(II) and palladium(II) complexes of oxazolyl-containing ligands: syntheses, structural characterization and properties
Abstract Two new complexes of formulas [Cu(L 1 )Cl 2 ] ( 1 ) and [Pd(L 2 )Cl 2 ]·(H 2 O) 0.5 ( 2 ) have been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR, elemental and thermogravimetric analyses. L 1 and L 2 are 3,3′-bis[( S , S )-4-isopropyl-2-oxazolyl]-4-chloro-2,2′-bipyridine and 2-[( S )-4-phenyl-2-oxazolyl]quinoline], respectively. Complexes 1 and 2 exhibit discrete mononuclear structures. The non-linear optical properties of 1 and 2 were investigated.
