A Study of Magnetohydrodynamics and Shape Factor Effects in SW/MWCNT Nanofluid Coating Flow on a Porous Stretching Wall with Thermal Radiation and Chemical Reaction
The boundary layer flow of an incompressible steady-state carbon nanotube (CNT)-water-based nanoliquid past an expandable permeable sheet with radiation, slip conditions, chemical response, and shape factor effects is investigated in the present study. Three distinct CNT shapes are taken into consideration: blade, platelets, and spheres. The appropriate transformation variables are used to convert governing equations into ordinary differential equations (ODEs). Using Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg’s fourth-fifth order (RKF-45) scheme, the numerical solution is provided. The behaviour of thermal, momentum, and concentration profiles is studied for numerous parameters. The outcomes demonstrate that a rise in the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD), Darcian and velocity slip parameters induces strong deceleration in the velocity, but the momentum boundary layer width rises. Thermal boundary layer width and temperature are found to be improved with growing thermal radiation parameter and CNT shape factor. The elevation in the chemical reaction induces a strong deceleration in the mass transport profile, but the boundary layer concentration upsurges. Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs)-based nanofluid achieves superior velocities, temperatures and concentrations than single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs)-based nanofluid.
