Fprecision Analysis Of 3D-Printed Root Canal Replicas

Aim or purpose: To establish a novel digital protocol integrating CBCT-based CAD with precision 3D printing for root canal replica fabrication, addressing the critical challenge of dimensional fidelity in endodontic rehabilitation. Materials and methods: 15 extracted human premolars CBCT scanning (voxel size: 50μm) and 3D geometric reconstruction Mimics 20.0 software for digital modeling OctaveLight R1-50um 405 printer with RSN-201 resin Volumetric analysis via Geomagic Control X Results: Under specific conditions, 3D printing technology demonstrated good restoration effects when used for the extracorporeal restoration of extracted teeth, as compared to the volume and morphology of the original teeth. The matching effect between the printed tooth models and the original teeth was significantly improved under certain parameter settings, with a high degree of fit. The specific data showed that the volume difference between the replicas and the original teeth ranged from 0.05 mm³ to 0.11 mm³, indicating a high level of fit (P>0.05). Conclusions: 3D-printed replicas exhibited minimal volume discrepancies (0.05-0.11 mm³) compared to original tooth specimens. High morphological congruence was achieved between printed models and natural teeth under optimized parameters. Inter-group dimensional variations showed no statistical significance (P>0.05).
