Research Proposal: From Session to Continuity: Long-Term Memory & Caring Stewardship in Large Language Models
This working paper explores the psychological and technical dimensions of continuity in large language models (LLMs), with a specific focus on long-term memory and relational stewardship.Drawing from user-level observations, it proposes a research-based framework for understanding emotional persistence, semantic anchoring, and memory simulation in Al-human interactions. This is an independent, non-commercial project combining philosophical reflection, soft systems thinking, and practical deployment testing of containerized LLMs.Future research pathways are proposed, including stewardship protocols, agent-partner dynamics, and ethical memory architectures.
