Functional Basic Education of Adults - Opportunities for Holistic Personality Development of Participants

For many illiterate individuals, adult basic
\neducation represents a second and final chance to acquire formal
\neducation. Should this specific form of adult basic education,
\nimplemented in Serbia as Functional Basic Education of Adults,
\nsolely offer condensed knowledge to participants, or does it have
\nthe potential for transformation and the development of the holistic
\npersonalities of learners? Students of andragogy at the Faculty of
\nPhilosophy in Belgrade have attempted to answer this complex
\nquestion, and their responses provide grounds for andragogical
\noptimism.
