Cloth Shopping Using an Avatar-based Outfit Selection with Augmented Reality

The advent of e-commerce has revolutionized the way we shop, offering convenience and accessibility. However, one significant challenge remains unresolved: the inability to physically try on clothing items before making a purchase. This project aims to bridge this gap by developing a Virtual Try-On system that allows users to visualize outfits on a personalized avatar, thereby enhancing the online shopping experience. The proposed system leverages cutting-edge technologies such as computer vision and augmented reality (AR). Users upload their own images or input body measurements to generate a realistic 3D avatar that closely resembles their physique. Through an intuitive user interface, individuals can then virtually try on different clothing items, exploring various styles, sizes, and colours. The system dynamically adapts the virtual clothing to fit the user's avatar achieving realistic visualization. The proposed solution holds the potential to revolutionize the online shopping industry, reducing the number of returns and improving customer satisfaction. By empowering users to visualize outfits on their avatars, this project aims to reshape the online shopping landscape, providing a seamless and immersive experience that bridges the gap between virtual and physical shopping
