Dialogic Moderation Framework (DMF): Toward Context-Aware AI Governance

Current AI moderation systems rely on pattern-based filtering mechanisms that operate without semantic understanding. These systems identify lexical risk rather than contextual intention, producing systematic false positives in cases of irony, philosophical discourse, or non-literal language. This paper proposes a new model — the Dialogic Moderation Framework (DMF) — designed to introduce semantic explainability and argumentative accountability into AI moderation.

Abstract

Current AI moderation systems rely on pattern-based filtering mechanisms that operate without semantic understanding. These systems identify lexical risk rather than contextual intention, producing systematic false positives in cases of irony, philosophical discourse, or non-literal language. This paper proposes a new model — the Dialogic Moderation Framework (DMF) — designed to introduce semantic explainability and argumentative accountability into AI moderation.
