Non‐traditional outreach can help overdose survivors

Results of a newly published study suggest that the most effective strategies to reach individuals at risk of a fatal overdose will offer multiple points of engagement. The study found that a substantial number of overdose survivors never visit a hospital, and many of those who are hospitalized receive little follow‐up care beyond a take‐home supply of naloxone.
