EMPOWERING ASNAF EDUCATION THROUGH DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY: AN ANALYSIS OF INTEREST, FOCUS, AND EFFECTIVENESS FACTORS

This study aims to explore the integration of technology among asnaf students during the teaching and learning process in primary schools. The main focus of the study is to identify the level of interest asnaf students have in using digital applications, evaluate its impact on students' focus and attention during lessons, and identify the factors that influence the effectiveness of digital technology use among them. This study employs a quantitative approach through the distribution of questionnaires to 80 asnaf students in Level 2 from four coastal primary schools in the state of Perlis. The findings reveal that the majority of students responded positively to the use of digital technology, with 45% strongly agreeing and 42.5% agreeing that digital applications increase their interest in learning. This study is limited to a small sample size and a specific geographical area, and thus, the findings cannot be generalized to all asnaf students. Nevertheless, the study makes a meaningful contribution to the literature on digital education and opens opportunities for further research to expand its scope and approach. It also highlights the originality of focusing on the asnaf group, offering practical implications for schools, policymakers, and educators in designing technology-based support strategies to empower the learning of students from underprivileged backgrounds.
