Research on fault diagnosis and analysis technology based on fault information collection

With the expansion of the power grid, the causes of power system faults are complicated and the phenomena are different, which puts forward higher requirements on the ability of operation and maintenance personnel in fault identification and fault locating. In this paper, we examine two fault location methods: the mutation method and the multiverse optimization algorithm, using the fault recording file generated by the protection device. The mutation method is used to determine fault features and extract eigenvalues for locating the fault segments. The multiverse algorithm is then optimized to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the process, resulting in successful fault location. Finally, the fault location algorithm is integrated into the fault recording and acquisition device, allowing for quick fault location and analysis. This assists operation and maintenance personnel in efficiently handling faults and saves valuable time without requiring extensive user configuration. Experiments have demonstrated that this method significantly improves the accuracy of fault location and provides a solid basis for decision-making in power grid fault handling.
