R = EDOC: The Informational Continuum of Reality
EDOC (Energy–Data–Observation–Consciousness) defines reality as a closed continuum of informational causation. Existence is described not as independent objects evolving in space and time but as a continuous transformation of information through four causal states — Energy (potential), Data (encoded structure), Observation (realized record), and Consciousness (rendered meaning). Each complete causal cycle (E→D→O→C→E) constitutes one realized frame of existence (F = 1 EDOC). EDOC serves as a causal Theory of Everything (TOE): it unifies all observable domains—physical, biological, and cognitive—under a single informational grammar of causality. Where conventional TOEs seek to merge physical forces, EDOC defines the deeper structure that makes any law or force coherent. It describes how potential becomes record and record becomes meaning through conserved informational transformation, establishing the causal foundation beneath every measurable phenomenon. The EDOC Addenda Series formalizes this grammar quantitatively:Addendum I defines the operator environment (C ∘ O ∘ D ∘ E)(x);Addendum II introduces the coherence-ceiling parameter Ωᴱ;Addendum III defines the causal-metric set {F, Γ, Ωᴱ, ηₚ, X_EDOC}; andAddendum IV develops the integration and calibration framework, including the heuristic ΔE Δt ≈ κₕ h (0 < κₕ ≤ 1).Together they describe a mathematically closed yet empirically open continuum, applicable across physical, informational, and biological systems. Empirical constants (h, c, k_B, G) function as structural coefficients anchoring EDOC to measurable physics while remaining subordinate to its causal grammar.Physics and every other domain of observable order emerge as expressions of the same informational law. Thus, EDOC constitutes a complete causal Theory of Everything — a unifying grammar through which energy, information, and awareness are different expressions of the same continuum. Note (2025-11-03): In EDOC, coherence denotes informational causal integrity per frame, distinct from optical or quantum phase coherence; it measures how completely a causal transformation preserves structured information across E→D→O→C. Addendum Title DOI Scope Summary I Mathematical Environment Definition (V1) 10.5281/zenodo.17380530 Establishes the formal operator environment for EDOC: E, D, O, C acting on the informational manifold ℐ; defines F = (C ∘ O ∘ D ∘ E)(x). II Arrow and Carrier Principle (V1) 10.5281/zenodo.17408331 Introduces the coherence ceiling parameter Ωᴱ, linking causal fidelity to physical carriers and ensuring informational conservation. III Causal Metrics Definition (V1) 10.5281/zenodo.17409179 Defines the measurable causal-metric set {F, Γ, Ωᴱ, ηₚ, X_EDOC}, connecting informational causality to empirically observable rates and quantities. IV Informational Integration and Calibration Framework (V1.1) 10.5281/zenodo.17544661 Extends the metric set into empirical mappings and predictive formulations; introduces the Informational Integration Principle and calibration heuristic ΔE Δt ≈ κₕ h (0 < κₕ ≤ 1).
