Data Management Plan
The EuroScienceGateway (ESG) D1.1 Data Management Plan (DMP) defines how research data and other outputs are generated, processed, documented, shared, preserved, and reused across the project. It sets project-wide policies for FAIR publication (findability, accessibility, interoperability, reusability), assigns persistent identifiers, and specifies trusted repositories (GitHub, Zenodo, WorkflowHub) with no embargo and open access by default. The DMP also describes formats (e.g., JSON-LD, YAML, ROOT), standards and ontologies (RO-Crate, GA4GH, EDAM), access protocols (GA4GH DRS, REST), and documentation expectations (README/markdown, OpenAPI where applicable). Version 3.0 reflects the project’s launch and additions to software, workflows, infrastructure-as-code, and domain use cases (biodiversity, climate, astrophysics).
