AI and Human Pain: From Pixels to Perception

This is a human–AI collaboration case study where ChatGPT-5 was used to interpret lumbar spine MRI imaging for detecting neural compression and disc degeneration. Led by AI researcher Tawana Mohammadi, the study includes a narrative diagnostic dialogue, treatment design, and rehabilitation exercises. The work highlights the diagnostic capabilities of ChatGPT-5 and proposes a model for human–machine co-analysis in radiology and pain management.
