Fault-tolerant control of an AC microgrid under communication network faults
AC microgrids (MGs) are widely deployed in distributed energy systems, but communication network faults can severely disrupt coordinated control, leading to frequency and voltage deviations and even imbalanced power sharing. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a distributed fault-tolerant secondary control framework tailored for communication network faults. A deep neural network (DNN)-based estimator is developed to accurately reconstruct information from neighboring distributed generators (DGs). Building upon this, a fault-tolerant controller is designed to compensate for communication network faults, thereby effectively maintaining frequency and voltage stability as well as ensuring fair power sharing. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed approach is validated through comprehensive simulations conducted in MATLAB/Simulink.
