Supporting science-based decision: Research on science advice participation of science and technology workers in China

Participating in decision-making process by providing science advice is an important way for science and technology workers to serve economic and social progress. Based on large-scale surveys of S&T workers in China and in-depth interviews, this article points out that the actual participation rate is relatively low compared to S&T works' interest in public administration. And in order to encourage S&T workers' engagement in public policy, suggestions such as platform building and capacity elevation are proposed.
