Noise and vibration are among the most common occupational physical hazards found in industries worldwide. Continuous exposure to high-intensity noise and mechanical vibrations significantly affects multiple body systems, leading to auditory, cardiovascular, neurological, musculoskeletal, and psychological disturbances. Long-term exposure contributes to reduced productivity, workplace accidents, and diminished quality of life. This article provides a detailed discussion of the sources, physiological mechanisms, health impacts, and preventive measures concerning chronic exposure to noise and vibration. Emphasis is given to global standards and regulatory guidelines aimed at safeguarding workers’ health.
