Awareness of HIV Prevention Among University Students in Kyrgyzstan
HIV infection continues to be a significant public health concern in Central Asia, particularly in Kyrgyzstan, where young adults and students represent a key at-risk population. This study assesses the level of awareness, attitudes, and preventive practices related to HIV among university students in Kyrgyzstan. The results indicate that although the majority possess moderate to good awareness, notable gaps persist regarding transmission routes, preventive methods, and stigma-related attitudes. Strengthening educational programs in higher institutions is essential to reduce misconceptions and improve preventive behaviors. while preparing this report ,we discussed with a few classmates and realized that students in medical fields sometimes have limited clarity about HIV prevention
