Meta-Locking and the Linear Projection of Consciousness: Imperfections and Harmonics in Static Vibrational Reality
This work develops the Static Vibrational Reality (SVR) framework, which proposes that consciousness arises through meta-locking — the synchronization of oscillatory dynamics with a universal frequency Ω. The linear projection of oscillatory phase into time and space is shown to be a mathematical necessity for coherent experience. However, this projection is never perfect. Higher harmonics, perceptual asymmetries, and long-period drifts expose cracks in the linear frame. We present empirical evidence from tilt illusion and temporal bisection tasks, showing both the stability of the linear component (κ, PSE, slope) and the ubiquity of imperfections. Tilt illusion (N=36): Robust κ ≈ 0.16, with systematic asymmetries and ~117-trial drifts in ~67% of participants. Temporal bisection (N=268 across 11 datasets): PSE ≈ 0.53, slopes ≈ 31 with wide variability, consistent with SVR predictions. Together, these findings confirm that linear projection is necessary but always imperfect — imperfection is the very condition for life and becoming. The repository includes supplementary datasets and figures for Appendix 2 (multi-subject replication of tilt illusion and temporal bisection results).
