A Multisensory Colour-Cup Model for Multilingual Vocabulary Learning: Integrating Colouring Books, Creative Stories, and Multimedia for Children
This paper introduces the “Colour-Cup Model,” an innovative multilingual vocabulary learning approach designed for children. The model combines colouring books, creative stories, and multimedia resources to create a multisensory learning environment. Each colour cup represents a thematic unit (e.g., animals, food, family), and the progression of cups builds from beginner to intermediate levels. Alongside the printed colouring books, audio-visual materials are developed, including narrated videos by the author and occasional recordings of child learners. This integration allows children to learn vocabulary independently at home, without the need for costly and time-consuming institutional classes. By engaging visual, auditory, and kinesthetic channels simultaneously, the model fosters both entertainment and education, helping young learners acquire correct pronunciation and vocabulary retention. The Colour-Cup Model demonstrates potential as a scalable framework for global multilingual education and offers new perspectives in creative language pedagogy. --- This work may not be used commercially or modified without the author's permission.
