TEACHING INTERNSHIP IN HIGHER EDUCATION: REFLECTIONS ON A POSTGRADUATE COURSE
The aim of this article is to present a report on the teaching internship carried out on the Lato Sensu Postgraduate Course in: Literacy, Lettering and Mathematical Language, of the Postgraduate Program in Education, of the State University of Montes Claros, in the subject Fundamentals and Methodology of Mathematics in the Education of Children, taught from August 9 to October 18, 2024. We present, in a reflective manner, three categories that encompassed the supervised internship experience, namely: Lesson Planning/Preparation; Observation of Theoretical and/or Practical Lessons and Teaching Practice. The results show the importance of discussing the need to integrate theory and practice in the context of higher education, highlighting how the teaching internship provides trainees with a space to apply knowledge and build new ones, as well as promoting critical reflection and the construction of a teaching identity.
