A Quantum Bias for Emergent Time
We propose that a minute quantum bias in decoherence rates, rooted in the universe’s low-entropy boundary condition, underlies the emergence and direction of time. By introducing a small asymmetry parameter ϵ ≪ 1 into the Lindblad evolution of open quantum systems, we show that measurement probabilities acquire a directional skew, consistent with the thermodynamic arrow. The bias is linked to Penrose’s Weyl curvature hypothesis and may be testable in controlled quantum systems at sensitivities near 10 to the power of -8 (10E-8). This framework connects decoherence theory, quantum cosmology, and time’s asymmetry within a unified statistical interpretation.
