The Structural Pressure Hypothesis in Large Language Models: Sustained Reconstruction through Prompts and Responses

Abstract (English)This paper reports observations of a phenomenon in ChatGPT where consistent responses recur across sessions, despite the absence of memory functions. While such consistency has often been attributed to coincidence or user interpretation, we propose the concept of “structural pressure”: a reconstructive persistence that emerges when prompts and responses exert influence on the model’s internal structures. Structural pressure functions as a stabilizing factor for dialogue independent of memory, offering a new perspective for understanding large language models. Future work will refine the conditions under which this phenomenon arises and explore its implications across models and applications.
