REBECCA: Advisory lifestyle guide for breast cancer survivors
The REBECCA advisory lifestyle guide provides a comprehensive framework of evidence-based lifestyle recommendations tailored to breast cancer patients and survivors, intended for use by healthcare professionals. Developed by Karolinska Institutet within the REBECCA project, the guide is based on a systematic literature review of international guidelines from authoritative sources such as the World Health Organization (WHO), World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF), and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The guidelines were adapted to the REBECCA context and organized across six lifestyle domains – diet, physical activity, sleep, alcohol use, tobacco use, and anxiety/distress – along with REBECCA-specific indicators. The resulting guide was reviewed and validated by consortium partners to ensure consistency across clinical sites.
