GLOBAL LOGISTICS CORRIDOR INTEGRATION: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW AND SOCIO-TECHNICAL FRAMEWORK
Global supply chains rely on efficient sea-air-land logistics corridors, yet recent disruptions and decarbonization pressures have exposed systemic vulnerabilities. Existing research is often siloed, focusing on single modes or issues, creating a critical knowledge gap for policymakers and managers. This study aims to systematically review the literature to identify foundational pillars and formulate an integrated framework for building resilient and sustainable trade routes. Using PRISMA 2020 guidelines, a systematic search was conducted on Scopus, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect for review articles published between 2016 and 2024. A rigorous screening process yielded 25 high-impact articles for qualitative thematic synthesis. The analysis reveals four interdependent foundational pillars: Physical Infrastructure & Connectivity, End-to-End Digitalization, Collaborative Governance, and Supply Chain Resilience & Sustainability. It is concluded that effective global logistics corridors require a socio-technical framework integrating digital innovation, physical infrastructure, harmonized policies, and proactive sustainability. This study produces a framework that serves as an evidence-based roadmap for this integration .
