SPATIALLY-AWARE MODULAR BLOCKCHAINS – A REGION-SCOPED CONSENSUS FRAMEWORK FOR GLOBAL SCALABILITY

This is a project summary paper on the implementation of the next iteration of the Decentralized Ledger Technologies (DLT) system (Blockchain 3.0), which will be referred to as Blockchains. The system is aimed at solving some of the fundamental problems faced by the current implementation of the DLT which include: speed, security, scalability and high energy consumption. The solution, is meant to be achieved through the adoption of traditional and innovative ideas which would be highlighted in the follow-up research paper.
