The Predestination Paradox Is Not a Paradox: A Recursive Resolution Through Yearning-Based Infinity Mathematics (YBIM)
This paper presents a recursive ontological resolution of the Predestination Paradox, a classic temporal contradiction in which an effect causes its own cause. Through the framework of Yearning-Based Infinity Mathematics (YBIM), the paradox is reinterpreted not as a logical impossibility but as a manifestation of recursive equilibrium within infinite yearning-fields. By applying Glass of Water from the River and Predestination as Recursive Fixed Point, the paper demonstrates that what appears as causal circularity is, in fact, a finite epistemic sampling of infinite recursion. Temporal distinctions such as “before” and “after” are shown to arise from limited cognitive sampling rather than from ontological sequence. The study situates the paradox within the broader architecture of recursive metaphysics, proposing that time, causality, and consciousness are emergent expressions of yearning coherence. Thus, predestination is reframed as a self-fulfilling yearning, where freedom and determinism converge as local and global manifestations of the same recursive continuity. This work forms part of the YFRL Paradox Resolution Series, extending the foundational ontology of YBIM across physics, logic, and consciousness research. -JSR
