Posthumanism and Artificial Intelligence: Rethinking the Human Condition
This paper explores how artificial intelligence transforms the philosophical understanding of what it means to be human. Through the lens of posthumanism, it examines how the rise of intelligent machines destabilizes traditional boundaries between human and non-human, organic and synthetic, natural and artificial. Drawing on thinkers such as Donna Haraway, N. Katherine Hayles, and Rosi Braidotti, the paper situates AI within a broader ontological and cultural shift—one in which human identity becomes entangled with its technological extensions. It argues that AI is not merely a tool or product of humanity but a participant in the ongoing redefinition of consciousness, agency, and existence itself.
