CONTEMPORARY MANAGEMENT OF BRONCHIAL OBSTRUCTIVE DISEASES: INTEGRATING GINA GUIDELINES, ACUTE ASTHMA INTERVENTION, AND LONG-TERM THERAPEUTIC STRATEGIES
Chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPDs) continue to represent a major burden on global health systems, as they are highly prevalent, have complex pathophysiology and cause significant morbidity and mortality. Diseases such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), bronchial asthma’ often result not only in such complications like chronic pulmonary heart and respiratory failure, but also highlight the urgent demand for evidence-based therapy. This review is based on current guidelines and focuses specifically on the recommendations made for obstructive airway disease by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) as well as providing practical management tips for both acute asthma exacerbations and maintenance therapy.
