D3.1 Interim report on data handling, software development and use cases, including prototype versions of selected software modules.
This report describes progress on developing scientific and societal relevant applications of the DAS fibre technologies. Much of the effort was focussed on developing and implementing methods for analysis of Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) data based on open datasets worldwide, although first site-specific observational results are being generated from the Madeira site. Field activities with the purpose of cable calibration have been carried out near the Svalbard and Sines sites and software developments for real-time streaming have been tackled.
