Labour conflict is a recurrent decimal in Nigeria public service especially the Local Government System. It is on this backdrop that the study examined labour conflict and management strategies in Anambra State Local Government Service Commission Awka. Descriptive survey research design was found most appropriate for the study. Data were elicited from respondents using questionnaire, in=depth interview, focus group discussion guide. Pearson moment correlation was the analytical told used in data analysis and test of hypotheses. The study revealed that lack of financial autonomy is responsible for frequent labour conflict in Anambra State Local Government Service Commission. Leadership style also has correlation with labour conflict in the System. In the light of the foregoing, we recommend that the Anambra State Local Government Service Commission should push for the complete fiscal autonomy of the local Government system in Nigeria. Also, the Service Commission should adopt workers friendly leadership style that will be democratic.
