ψ-Silence: A Physical and Ontological Model of Reproducibility Beyond Events
This study presents ψ-Silence, a formal and experimental framework describing reproducibility not as repetition but as structural stability. Within ψ-architecture, silence denotes a stationary minimum of the retention potential V(Δψ, Ξ) where the time derivative of difference ∂t Δψ → 0 while the retention node Ξ remains finite. The paper provides the complete Lagrangian formulation, simulation prototype, and experimental detection protocol for ψ-silence across optical, acoustic, and computational media. Results show that reproducibility can occur without events, through pure retention of difference. The work bridges physics, cognitive science, and ethical engineering, proposing a new thermodynamics of memory: finite retention energy, stabilized entropy, and vanishing pseudo-temperature. ψ-Silence thus defines a measurable limit state — a “living equilibrium” of presence without flux — with implications for reproducibility research, quantum coherence, AI pause states, and philosophical ontology.
