Experimental Emergence of Optical Qutrits

The recent experiment by Immanuel Bloch and collaborators (Max Planck Instituteof Quantum Optics, 2025) demonstrated the realization of a fully coherent all-opticalqutrit in 88Sr operating under triple-magic trapping conditions. This work shows thatsuch a result constitutes a direct experimental verification of the theoretical predictionderived from the universal Ψ field Lagrangian, previously formulated in A UniversalQuantum Computer from the Universal Equation Ψ (Livolsi, Zenodo 2025). We mathematicallydemonstrate that the qutrit {1S0, 3P0, 3P2} emerges as a coherent 3 × 3solution of the tensor term Pi,j Ψ†iΓΨj 2, and that the triple-magic condition correspondsto the variational minimum of the coherent potential.
