Phase-Scaly Rectifiers: Geometric Control of Directional Conductivity via Local Closed-Surface Asymmetry

This paper introduces the concept of Phase-Scaly Rectifiers, a novel geometrical framework for rectification and semiconductor behavior based on Closed Surface Theory. Instead of viewing electrons as point particles, the study interprets them as scaly closed-surface units whose local phase continuity determines the direction of electrical conduction. By designing asymmetric connectivity among these microscopic scales, one can induce a unidirectional propagation of phase, reproducing the function of a semiconductor diode without chemical doping or electronic band manipulation. The work proposes potential implementations through nanoscale arrays and metamaterial surfaces, emphasizing that rectification is fundamentally a geometric effect arising from asymmetric phase coherence. This model offers a new foundation for developing structural semiconductors and phase-engineered conductive materials that bridge quantum physics and surface geometry.
