The Critical Corridor: A Unified Framework for Riemann's Legacy.
Abstract This monograph develops a unified analytic–spectral–constructive framework aimed at turning the Riemann Hypothesis (RH) into a sequence of finite, auditable statements with explicit constants and machine-verifiable certificates. On the analytic side, we work in Mellin–Plancherel/Hardy settings with Riesz projections and inner–outer factorization, and we derive a precise Guinand–Weil–type explicit formula under sharp strip–Schwartz hypotheses. On the operator side, we build a calculus of Toeplitz/Hankel forms on H2(C+)H2(C+), de Branges–Rovnyak structures, and model spaces, linking a “prime operator” to the arithmetic side and archimedean multipliers to gamma factors. Equivalent RH gates (Lagarias, Robin, Li’s criterion, Beurling–Nyman) are embedded in this operator language, with Li coefficients computed via two independent routes and checked for normalization/branch invariance. Constructively, we introduce “guard corridors” that control mesoscopic fluctuations (sine-kernel corridors, mixed-moment bounds, uniformity at scales 1/logT1/logT), explicit zero-free envelopes, and provable tail budgets for Dirichlet/Euler pieces. A witness–checker pipeline provides interval-arithmetic certificates (quadrature, Mellin seminorms, archimedean/zero tails, Li coefficients), a derivation-ledger for the explicit formula, and a termination-guaranteed deconditioning algorithm bridging probabilistic evidence to constructive inequalities. The manuscript assembles comprehensive tables of constants, end-to-end propagation bounds, and a referee-style verification checklist (truncation independence, order-of-limits stability, failure localization). The result is not a proof of RH but a reproducible program that reduces designated RH-equivalent claims to finite, cross-validated certificates with clearly stated obligations, invariants, and error budgets. Scope. The work organizes RH-relevant material into: (I) Analytic foundations (analytic continuation, explicit formulae), (II) Spectral/operator framework (Hardy/L22, Hilbert transform, Toeplitz/Hankel, de Branges–Rovnyak), (III) Equivalent criteria (Lagarias/Robin/Li/Beurling–Nyman), (IV) Constructive modules (finite truncations with sharp constants, tail control, corridor geometry), (V) Unconditional formulations (“Problem 9.x” family), (VI) Numerical evidence (pair correlation, Li-coefficient behavior), (VII) Synthesis (analytic–spectral coupling; witness–checker paradigm), and (VIII) Formal verification (axioms, derivation-ledger, anti-circularity, replication protocols). Key contributions.• A precise operator realization of the explicit formula that cleanly matches prime/gamma sides and survives normalization audits.• Guard-corridor methodology that converts mesoscopic statements into finite index/certified width inequalities.• Dual routes and cross-checks for Li coefficients with validated asymptotics and zero/product decompositions.• A machine-verifiable certificate schema (trap/Simpson quadrature, Mellin, arch-tail, zero-tail, corridor, zero-cover, zero-EF, spectral–arithmetic EF, Li) and a derivation-graph propagation calculus ensuring enclosure-safe composition and truncation independence.• Referee-style checklists, audit manifests, and an air-gapped replication protocol clarifying exactly what a numerical run certifies and how randomized items remain orthogonal to unconditional claims. Positioning. The manuscript is designed as a reproducible research artifact: statements are expressed in canonical normal forms, constants are tabulated with computation recipes, and every reduction advertises explicit obligations. It aims to serve as a durable baseline for future analytic refinements, operator-theoretic upgrades, and expanded certificate coverage. Change Log V2 in version two we have made significant progress towards an unconditional proof, theres still a few more things to proove. v2 reframes the manuscript as a complete three-way equivalence, introduces the normalized Gaussian prime ceiling H4† with the e^{-U/2} normalization, adds a Reader’s Roadmap and a formal “Absolute Proof Program (APP)”, and supplies new near-pointwise dyadic estimates plus derivative mean–square lemmas leading to a polynomial sup bound that feeds H4†. Verification, contradiction-resolution, and normalization audits are retained but reorganized and renamed. 1. Title, Positioning, and Scope Title updated to emphasize equivalence: from “A Unified Framework for Riemann’s Legacy” (implicit in v1) to “A Complete Equivalence Framework for the Riemann Hypothesis.” v2 front-matter explicitly claims a three-way equivalence among RH, corridor collapse, and H4†, while clarifying it is not yet an unconditional proof. Abstract and Scope rewritten to state the forward and reverse directions H4† ⇒ RH and RH ⇒ H4†, explain the e^{-U/2} normalization, and describe Parts V–VIII roles, including the APP as the path to an absolute proof. 2. Reader Guidance and Structure New Reader’s Roadmap summarizing Parts I–VIII, highlighting unconditional foundations (I–V), computational certification (VI), the equivalence framework (VII), and verification (VIII), plus an explicit pointer to APP in Part VII. Part VII preface updated with an Executive Note and explicit Standing Hypotheses H1–H3 (uniformity across dyadic blocks, parameter choices), sharpening prerequisites for the equivalence arguments. 3. Equivalence Web and Normalized Ceiling (H4†) Normalized H4† introduced and proved equivalent to RH and Corridor Collapse, with Theorem 0.15 stating the three-way equivalence. v2 also includes a clear proof sketch for RH ⇒ H4† via the explicit formula and Gaussian decay, and shows how normalization by e^{-U/2} removes spurious U-growth. Parameter tracking clarified: W = c0/log T, η = α/log T, and subcritical c⋆ < 1/2 appear uniformly in the statements and comparisons used in the corridor contradiction. 4. Absolute Proof Program (APP) APP formalized: new section enumerating four unconditional lemmas (APP-A through APP-D or equivalent labels) that, together, would deliver H4† unconditionally. v2 positions APP as the concrete bridge from unconditional moment bounds to a pointwise ceiling. 5. New Analytic Estimates and Near-Pointwise Control Derivative mean–square lemmas added: v2 introduces unconditional mean–square bounds not only for the prime sum P(T,U) but also for its derivatives ∂U P, ∂T P, and ∂TU^2 P over dyadic blocks, obtained by differentiating under the explicit-formula integrals and bounding the gamma/trivial terms and tails with the corridor variance machinery. (These appear in the expanded “To a Full Proof” appendix and related Part G/J cross-references.) Proposition Near-pointwise ceiling on dyadic blocks and Corollary Polynomial sup bound: v2 uses the new derivative mean–square controls and a two-parameter Sobolev/Markov-type argument to upgrade from L^2 control to a dyadic sup bound sup_{I_j × R} |P| ≪ (log T_j)^M. This is recorded in the “To a Full Proof” appendix. Pipeline from polynomial sup to H4†: v2 explicitly states how to absorb polylog losses into exp(c⋆/η) to recover the required subcritical exponential ceiling structure on each dyadic block, aligning with the H4† template.6. Reverse Direction RH ⇒ H4† Expanded proof sketch: v2 details the Guinand–Weil explicit-formula under RH and the Gaussian Fourier partner decay, deriving an O(W^{-1} N(T)) bound for the zero-side term and explaining precisely why e^{-U/2} normalization is natural, then matching it to the H4† scale. 7. Verification, Formal Rigor, and Reorganization Verification pipeline retained and clarified: the RS evaluation, sign-change bracketing, Turing’s method, and argument-principle cross-check are laid out with a reproducibility manifest; v2 keeps the content but streamlines headings and checklists. Contradiction handling and normalization/sign audits renamed and relocated: material that appeared under Appendix B.* in v1 (Alternative Approach Reconciliation, contradiction resolution, normalization/sign audits) now appears under Appendix Q.* with consistent terminology and cross-references. The core results are preserved but renumbered and canonicalization steps are emphasized. Unified Path to RH (classical gates) preserved: Li’s criterion, Weil positivity, and Beurling–Nyman equivalences remain; v2 integrates them with the energy identity and keeps a proof-sketch structure with explicit reliance only on the earlier unconditional machinery. 8. Corridor Contradiction Mechanics Quantified margins remark emphasized: statements highlighting that any ceiling with fixed c < 1/2 forces RH are restated with consistent parameters and now referenced alongside the H4† normalization, clarifying the dyadic-block logic and η → 0 amplification. 9. Editorial and Notational Hygiene Global notational hygiene reiterated with canonical contexts, outward rounding, and ledger requirements; v2’s glossary and index entries are expanded and reconciled with the Q.* appendix numbering. Cross-part references aligned: Parts I–VIII references in v2 are synchronized with the new equivalence and APP sections so the dependency DAG and “no circularity” statements point to the updated labels. 10. What Did Not Change Unconditional core results: explicit formula with tracked constants, corridor variance, zero-free regions, and the computational certification pipeline remain intact; v2 reframes them as the unconditional base feeding the equivalence and APP layers. Version Mapping v1 referenced here is ZetaProof.final.pdf (earlier organization with B.* appendix labels for reconciliation/contradiction material and without the fully articulated normalized H4† equivalence presentation). v2 referenced here is ZetaProof.pdf (new title page, Equivalence Web with H4† and e^{-U/2} normalization, APP framework, derivative mean–square a
