Role of Tech-Algorithms in Shaping Market Visibility for Women Entrepreneurs in Pakistan
This study aimed to investigates the role of digital entrepreneurship as a catalyst for the social and economic empowerment of women in Pakistan. Drawing upon primary survey data from 285 women entrepreneurs across diverse sectors, it identifies how digital tools, platforms, and institutional enablers contribute to enhanced agency, income generation, and resilience. Using Principal Component Analysis (PCA), eight key factors were extracted: Digital Literacy and Skills, Financial Inclusion, Social Networking, Institutional and Policy Support, Innovation and Mindset, Work–Life Balance, Cultural Support, and Digital Safety and Sustainability. The analysis reveals that these dimensions collectively explain 99.7% of the variance in empowerment outcomes and exhibit strong internal reliability (α = 0.82–0.91). Findings highlight that digital literacy and access to finance are the strongest enablers of empowerment, while institutional support and social networking act as bridging factors that convert opportunity into tangible enterprise growth. The study concludes that digital entrepreneurship, when combined with inclusive policies and cultural acceptance, transforms women’s economic participation and contributes significantly to Pakistan’s broader goals of inclusive growth and digital transformation. Policy implications underscore the need for coordinated investments in digital skills, financial infrastructure, and gender-responsive support systems to sustain the momentum of women-led digital enterprises in the country
