Fatal Commercial Passenger Jet and Large Turboprop accidents from 1977 to 2025-Analysis and Recommendations

This interesting technical paper is data based and aims to compile aviation accidents of passenger scheduled flight casualties (onboard and or ground ) to compile main causes and their elimination recommendation. Accidents that are fatal per million of flights are analyzed. In last 20 years there is drastic reduction per million which is much below six sigma number of permitted defects, with advances in aircraft engineering , operations management and advanced equipment at ground also. But pilot quality and training is serious particularly in countries like India and others. The career of pilots should be deglamorized and only serious extraordinary intelligent young people should be recruited and thoroughly trained as trainee pilots in institutes simulators and atleast1500 hours flying under competent captains. This is must for corporate jets and scheduled flights for regular passengers .It would be better to recruit pilots for captain role from defense personnel or large well managed airlines companies. It wont be bad idea to recruit persons in aircraft maintenance with 10 years experience . There are electronic and cyber security hazards both from onboard and external hackers, despite systems now working cloud based and watched globally. Abstract
