The Temporal Nature of Quantum Collapse

This work proposes a temporal interpretation of quantum collapse in which superposition corresponds to a plurality of internal proper times rather than coexisting spatial states. Collapse is reinterpreted as a synchronisation of clocks between system and observer, deriving naturally from the relativistic time dilation factor 1/γ(p). This framework predicts that decoherence times depend on momentum spread through temporal desynchronisation, providing a testable physical signature. This shifts the quantum classical transition from a question of spatial reduction to a question of temporal accessibility.

Abstract

This work proposes a temporal interpretation of quantum collapse in which superposition corresponds to a plurality of internal proper times rather than coexisting spatial states. Collapse is reinterpreted as a synchronisation of clocks between system and observer, deriving naturally from the relativistic time dilation factor 1/γ(p). This framework predicts that decoherence times depend on momentum spread through temporal desynchronisation, providing a testable physical signature. This shifts the quantum classical transition from a question of spatial reduction to a question of temporal accessibility.
